Basic Tips With Windows Xp

Windows XP Basic Tips

Windows Basic Shortcut

Windows + E = My Computer
Windows + R = Run
CTRL + ALT + Delete = Task Manager
Windows + D = Show & Close desktop 
Windows + F = Search
Windows + M = Close active activity and show desktop
Windows + L = Lock Computer
Windows + U = Utility Manager

Remove Unused program to make computer starup fast

[ Windows + R ] > msconfig > System Configuration > Services > [ Tick ] Hide all Microsoft services >      [ Tick ] the unwanted program > Apply > OK > Restart

Check you Internet IP

[ Windows + R ] > cmd @ Command > ipconfig @ ipconfig \all > List of connecting are shown.

How to prevent forgotten password

- Using Password Reset 
Start > Control Panel > Switch to Classic View > User Accounts > Find "Create a password reset disk" 
Forgotten Password Wizard > Next > Choose Removable Disk you want to use  > Next > Insert "Current user account password" > Next > Creating Password Reset Disk > [ Complete 100% ] > Next > Finish.
*Please Prepare Flash Drive before using this Method

Firewall 
Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall 

General  :- 
On = This setting blocks all outside sources from connecting to your computer.
Off = Computer will be more vulnerable to Viruses and Intruders.

Exceptions :-
[ Tick ] or [ Untick ] a programs and services you want to run on computer. you can even add a new program into it.

Advanced :-
Only Advanced User will enter this place. 

Update all your driver to make sure computer will always Up To Date.

Start > Control Panel > Automatic Updates 
Automatic Updates 
Automatic ( Recommended ) - Update Everyday

Show Hidden Files And Folders

Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > View > Advanced Settings 
Find : Hidden Files and folders 
Choose : Show hidden files and folders

*Important : Windows XP and Windows 7 is different. So this tips maybe cannot use on Windows 7. Please Refer to Windows 7/ Vista basic tips.
